Behind the lens at Halcyon Captured

Hi, I’m Travis Legge-MacDougall, a 30-year-old photographer with 15 years of captivating on-and-off experience.

Growing up surrounded by cameras, photography became an inseparable part of my journey—from childhood to teenage years. What started as a casual interest transformed into an unexpected and fervent passion over the next 15 years.

My photographic odyssey gained momentum during the peculiar times of lockdowns and uncertainty. Initially drawn to capturing the essence of automobiles, I soon found myself entrusted with diverse projects, including pets, family portraits, events, anniversaries, weddings, and even contributing to the orchestration of surprise engagements.

Specializing in creative one-on-one portraits and engagement/wedding photography, I’m on a mission to encapsulate the concept of “halcyon” for each person I collaborate with, regardless of the content. My dedication extends beyond the lens, aiming to reveal the innate photogenic qualities within every individual—challenging societal norms about perceived photogenicity.
